Very Fire VFBELBV350908DX 1/350 IJN Super Yamato Kii Deluxe Edition

In order to counter the battleships that the United States had begun building, the Japanese Navy planned two Super Yamato-class battleships, which were enhanced and developed versions of the Yamato-class battleships, as part of the Fifth Plan (5th Naval Armaments Expansion Plan) in 1942.

Initially, the standard displacement was planned to be 85,000 tons, with three or four triple 51cm guns and a speed of 30 knots, but due to issues with docks, supply facilities and port facilities, it is said that a proposal was ultimately submitted to equip a ship of similar size to the Yamato-class with three twin 51cm guns and a speed equivalent to that of the Yamato-class.

Although there is no documentation regarding the ship's name, some military commentators claim that, in accordance with the naming rules for battleships, it was planned to inherit the names of the battleships "Kii" and "Owari" that were planned under the 8-8 Fleet Plan.

This kit is limited to 1,000 sets worldwide and only the deluxe version is available.
