The USS Maryland was a Colorado-class battleship of the United States Navy, commissioned in 1921 and nicknamed "Fighting Mary." As the third ship named for the state of Maryland, she was notable for her heavy armament and extensive service.
After WWII, USS Maryland was decommissioned in 1947 and sold for scrap in 1959. She earned 7 battle stars for her wartime service and remains a symbol of resilience and strength in U.S. naval history.
