









Trumpeter 05578 1/35 Soviet MT-LB
In the 1970s, the Soviet Union began to plan to develop a new tractor to replace the AT-P tracked artillery tractor developed from the ASU-57 airborne combat vehicle. First, the MT-L was developed based on the PT-76 light amphibious tank. The MT-LB is an armored version of the MT-L. It was put into production in the early 1970s. It is easy to produce and cheap because it uses a large number of ready-made parts and the engine is also developed from a truck engine. It is produced by the Kharkov factory and has been licensed to Poland and Bulgaria.
