Trumpeter 02307 1/35 Russian Army B-4 M1931 203mm Howitzer
The 1931 B-4 203mm howitzers were developed in 1931 and entered service in 1934. They were already quite old when the war began. The B-4 had a short and thick barrel, only 25 caliber. It was equipped with a hydraulic recoil mechanism, and was mounted on an unpowered, fully tracked carriage for short distances from firing position. When maneuvering over long distances, the gun needed to be equipped with a 2-wheeled front carriage. The 1931 B-4 had the firepower to cover a maximum radius of 18,025 meters with 98.8 kg of ammunition.
