Tomix 98134 N 521-100 Suburban Train Nanao Line Addon Set 2 Cars

The 521-100 series is an AC/DC electric train from JR West that was introduced in 2019 to replace the 413 series and 415 series 800 series that were previously in service on the Nanao Line, and began operation in October 2020.

Unlike the 521 series 3rd batch, the arrangement of the side windows has been changed to a shape similar to that of the 225 series and 227 series, and the line color is a scarlet color reminiscent of Wajima lacquer. It

mainly operates between Kanazawa and Nanao on the Nanao Line and the IR Ishikawa Railway Line, in two-car formations or four-car formations consisting of two formations.

As of 2023, 15 trains owned by JR West have been manufactured, and three trains have been manufactured for the IR Ishikawa Railway, with different logos on the side of the car body.

Features

• The front display is replaceable and comes with printed parts already attached; replacement parts are included
• The fall prevention hood of the leading car is a separate part, and two types are included, one for when leading and one for when coupled
• The JR mark is printed
• The head and tail lights are white LEDs, and the fog lights use color prisms to reproduce the orange lighting
• Head and tail light ON-OFF switch included
• The leading car driver's cab side uses a TN coupler (SP) with a small body support
• The car number and skirt formation number are selectable and compatible with transfer sheets (included in the basic set)
• New current collection system and silver wheels are used
