MiG-29 – Soviet frontline fighter of fourth generation with prominent flying characteristics.
The first prototypeof MiG-29 (plane “9-12”) flew for the first time on October 10, 1977. MiG-29 “9-13” modification were produced in 1986-1991. These planes had equipment for electronic countermeasures and increased fuel capacity.
MiG-29 “9-13” fighters had been adopted by Soviet Air Force.
Till now they make basis of UIS countries fighter aviation, including Russia and Ukraine. 30 planes of this type were delivered to North Korea. All in all more than 1200 MiG-29 fighters were produced, including about 60% of “9-13” modification.
