The Mikoyan-Gurevich MiG-15 is a Soviet jet fighter developed by Mikoyan-Gurevich. It was one of the first successful jet fighters to incorporate swept wings, achieving high transonic speeds. During the Korean War, it outclassed straight-winged jet day fighters, prompting the U.S. Air Force to rush the North American F-86 Sabre to counter it. With over 13,000 manufactured, the MiG-15 remains historically significant and continues to serve as an advanced trainer in the Korean People's Army Air Force.
