The "Taiyo," initially completed as Nippon Yusen's passenger ship "Kasuga Maru," was later drafted and repurposed into the first auxiliary aircraft carrier. Although it didn't shine in battles, it played a key role in troop and aircraft transport, supporting the frontlines.

This kit transforms the aircraft carrier "Taiyo" into a 1/700 scale plastic model kit. With simple, focused parts and newly added 25mm triple-mounted machine guns, it’s both easy to assemble and exceptionally detailed. It's a fine example of bringing precision and craftsmanship into a model!
